UTV Suspension Seats

One of the elements that UTV manufactures cut corners on are the seats. They do provide you with a seat that is comfortable enough to entice you to drive it out of the showroom but soon there after on the trail you’ll be grumbling to yourself “Wish this seat had more padding” or “This seat needs more support”. Whatever your criticism there is a solution to your seat problem and its called UTV suspension seats.

Off-road suspension seats have been a staple in the off-road racing scene for years. Installed in Jeeps, trucks, buggies and sand rails to make driving in rough terrain less pain staking and they reduce muscle and joint damage from sudden shocks to the body. These seats offer more padding, better stability and safety harness features that are not found in stock OE seats.

So it was natural for off-road seat manufactures to start making seats for UTV’s when they became more popular. Now UTV owners have endless options to choose from to design a custom suspension seat to meet their needs. Options like material type, material color, stitching type, trim and color type, custom embroidery, high back or low back, headrest style, lumbar support, seat heaters, harness supports and accessory pockets. Pretty much whatever you want they’ll work to make it happen.

Although fully custom UTV seats are what all riders would like to have they do tend to run on the more expensive side. So seat makers have offered a line of suspension seats that meet most people’s demands and are available at retailers. These seats still offer great padding and support but at a lower cost.

Even UTV owners hauling a whole family around have options for bench seats and toddler seats. These seats are just as customizable as the individual bucket seats.

Most seats are designed to bolt directly to the stock mounting plate. Some UTV models require an extra bracket which comes with the new seat to be installed to accommodate the new suspension seat. RZR’s in particular have the seat latch located in the rear and that works fine with the stock seats but aftermarket seats that are not fitted with a access hole for the latch require you to reposition the latch. I would suggest finding a seat model that already has that feature built in and avoid the relocating mess entirely.

So determine if you want a fully customized seat and contact one of the manufactures listed below, or if you just need aftermarket UTV suspension seats, browse the retailers listed below and find a seat you like.
