ATV Tire Ply’s:
2 Ply Tires – These tires are specifically for sand and dune riding. Small to mid-size cc ATV’s should use a tire with 6-8 paddles and larger cc quads can use a tire with 10 paddles.
3 Ply & 4 Ply Tires – These are cheaper tires and make good stock replacement tires. Suitable for average use around the house, farm and light trail riding. Most suitable for small to mid-size ATV’s. These types of tires are prone to puncture easily from sharp objects.
6 Ply Tires – These tires are a good all around ply tire and are made for all aspects of riding, mudding, trail riding and rock crawling.
8 Ply Tires – These tires use a radial construction and are best for hard pack trails, rocky trails and rock crawling type expeditions. The 8 ply construction offers superior puncture resistance and the radial design offers a smooth ride and maximum footprint coverage.

The plan is to buy EVERY tire on the market and do a full analysis on each tire. These tests will provide our visitors with the most in depth results currently available. Yes, we know this is a HUGE undertaking and it will take time to test every model being produced, but down the road it should provide a great library of tire information that you can use to find a set of tires that will meet your riding demands.
